Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. She is renowned for her movies such as Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in art. Her first position was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modeling and acting. The award she received was the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international smash, and earned her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best female box-office actress in the world in just three releases. Handprints, signatures and footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and TV miniseries The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
