Born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. As a toddler the mother of her fled from an unfaithful relationship. Then, in 1995, she re-entered to Pickler's world and gained the custody rights. It didn't go well. Pickler went back to her grandparents when she turned twelve years old. The grandparents helped them through adulthood. With the loss of their parents Pickler got too involved in caring for her children. She confessed that, in absence of parents, Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not take classes. In the meantime, she began learning how to care for her family at an earlier stage. Pickler was on the teams for cheerleading in both high school and middle school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004 it was her high school. Pickler was also a beauty contestant. She won an Oscar in 2004 for A Beautiful Mind. In 1984, she debuted in Once Upon a Time in America. Her modeling career at a young age. Her modeling career went on for a few years before she turned to acting. She appeared in films including Phenomena, Labyrinth and Career Opportunities.
