Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known as was an American born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was not able to achieve major success on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo musician after the group broke up together in 1979. After taking vocal classes, Ford launched her debut solo album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin in the Edge". The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford disappeared from the world of rock for a couple of years. It was 1988 when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only temporary and she was absent from the industry for several years. Re-emerging with albums "Black" from 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The year 2016 brought the release of her most recent album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
